Laughed my ass off at the discussion of you campaigning for the communist candidate at UHA and the reaction that caused in Hoptown. Got a big kick and had some good flashbacks of how our school was viewed anyway, much less as a bunch of communist supporters. Classic. Didn’t catch the year, so don’t know if my Dad had left the school or not…but whether him or Marvin, I can just imagine some interesting times….

Not only did Affleck & McConaughey peak in Dazed & Confused but writer/director Richard Linklater has never been able to top his studio debut à la Orson Welles/Citizen Kane. Kudos to the film for guiding Tim Lincecum to model himself after Mitch Kramer.
